BACHELORS OF SCIENCE IN NURSING

COURSE DESCRIPTION 

: B.Sc (N) is designed to provide advanced theoretical and Practical concepts by course Works. The philosophy underlying B.Sc(N) is to enable our students to deal with many facets of nursing and health care. This course covers wide range of theoretical perspectives and it maintains a strong practical focus, so you will be able to put everything that you learn to good use in real world.

ELIGIBILITY: 

Inter Bi.P.C. (Biology, Physics & Chemistry) (or) +2 (or) P.D.C. with
Science group (or) Inter Vocational M.P.H.W. (F) with 45% of Marks in groups. In case
of SC /ST candidates 40% of marks in groups.

AGE: 
Students should have completed 17 years of age and should not be more the 25
years as on 31st December. Age relaxation for 3 years in case of S.C./ S.T. students.

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION & EXAMINATION 
:
English shall be in the medium of Instruction & Examination.

G . N . M . - GENERAL NURSING (FIND MIDWIFERY

ELIGIBILITY : 10 + 2 / P.D.C. (or) Intermediate any Group.

DURATION : 31/2 Years

AGE LIMIT : 1 7 - 3 5 years (Maximum age limit is relaxable by Vh years in case of
SC / ST Candidates)
Students of Science, Arts, Commerce, Mathematics group students are also eligible.
Unmarried female candidates & Widows without any encumberances are eligible.

COURSE DESCRIPTION :
The duration of course is 3 years. The course commences from July of every
academic year. First twelve weeks ie. 3 months will be the PTS (Primary Training Session) Period. Followed by PTS examination, passed candidates are eligible for deputation for clinical duties at Medical College Hospital at Tirupati.

SELECTION OF CANDIDATES 
: Application form for admission along with prospectus may be obtained from the college office on all working days from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. of Rs. 200/ - by Person (or) Rs. 250/- by post in the form of D.D./ M.O.

DISCIPLINE 
: All students are to abide strictly by the discipline and routine of the College at all times as laid down by the College authorities. Breach of such discipline will entail summary expulsion from the school.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES 
: In order to ensure the development of the total personality of the student, the College provides ample oppurtunities for all students to engage themselves in a wide variety of co-curricular activities. These include sports and games both indoor and outdoor. Students are allowed to watch selected movies on a colour TV at the campus, and the necessary arrangements are assisted by the campus staff during the selected days and time.

COMMUNICATION TO PARENTS 
: Students are allowed to call their parents through telephone regularly. An incampus telephone boot is provided for the convenience of the students round the clock.

HEALTH SERVICES : There shall be Health Services for students providing for annual medical examination & to take preventive steps against communicable diseases. A complete Health Record shall be kept in respect of each individual student.

CO-OPERATIVE STORE 
: Co-operative Store is being maintained in the college itself for getting necessary Text Books and Stationary articles at moderate rates.

HOSTEL KIT 
: Every Student should provide themselves with the following articles.
1. A Trunk Box / Suit case.
2. Bed Sheets -2, Pillows - 1 , Towels - 2.
3. Meals plate & a glass
4. Bucket & mug.
5. Wrist Watch with Centre Seconds hand.
6. Toilet Box.
7. Mini Torch light.

VACATION & HOLIDAYS 
: Annual Vacation: 30 days/annum.
Sick Leave: 10 days/ annum
Preporatory Holidays: 7 days.
